October 14, 2026 — Exchange prices now include the fee

• Kalshi and ProphetX charge a trading fee that their listed price doesn't show. Iron Marker now takes the fee out before it works out the edge, so a Kalshi or ProphetX bet only reaches the board if it is still +EV after the fee.
• Those rows say "after Kalshi fee" or "after ProphetX fee" under the odds. The track-bet window and your alerts also show the price the exchange itself lists.
• Kalshi's fee is 0.07 × price × (1 − price) per contract, about 1.75¢ on a 50¢ contract, and half that on MLB. ProphetX keeps 2% of winnings. Novig charges nothing before the game, so its prices are unchanged.
• Expect fewer Kalshi and ProphetX bets, and smaller edges on the ones that remain. Bets you already tracked keep the odds you logged.

October 7, 2026 — More bets at your books

• When the best price for a bet is at a book you don't use, the scanner now shows it at the best of your books instead of hiding it. Most boards get noticeably longer, especially if you only use one or two books.
• Edges above 20% are now hidden unless you set a higher Maximum EV in Settings. Lines that far off are almost always stale or mispriced, not real edges.
• Setup now asks which books you use. If you leave your books unticked you see every regulated sportsbook and exchange in your state; offshore books only show when you tick them.
• An empty scanner now tells you whether it's your settings or a quiet board, with a shortcut to Settings.

October 4, 2026 — Ontario sportsbooks

• Iron Marker now scans the iGaming Ontario books: BET99, Betano, BetMGM, BetRivers, PointsBet, PROLINE+ and Sports Interaction.
• Set your state to ON in Settings. You'll see the Ontario books at their Ontario prices, and BetMGM and BetRivers switch to their Ontario versions.
• Pick the ones you have accounts with under Settings, Filters, Books. Links open the Ontario site.
• FanDuel, DraftKings and theScore Bet are still priced from their U.S. lines, so confirm the price in your Ontario app before you bet.

September 28, 2026 — Alerts on your phone

• Bet alerts now arrive as notifications on your phone or computer. Turn them on in Settings, Alerts, on each device you use; the notification shows the bet, the book, how soon the game starts and your stake.
• On iPhone, add Iron Marker to your Home Screen first (Safari, Share, Add to Home Screen), then turn notifications on from the installed app. Apple only allows web notifications for Home Screen apps.
• Tap a notification to open the scanner. On Android and desktop there is also a button that opens the book.
• Telegram alerts still work and are now optional, under the same Settings pane.

September 28, 2026 — Book Heat, and expected vs. actual profit

• Book Heat is live. Every sportsbook you bet gets a 0 to 100 limit-risk score from the bets you track there: how much edge you take, how much of it is props, your volume and win rate, and how bunched up your recent action is. A colored dot sits next to the book on every scanner row.
• When a warm or hot book has a bet, a "Same bet at" line points you to a cooler book or an exchange carrying the same bet.
• A new Books tab shows each book's score, what is driving it, and a 30-day trend. Exchanges (Novig, ProphetX, Kalshi) don't limit winners, so they are listed separately and never scored.
• The Analysis tab now puts expected profit, what your bets were worth at the odds you took, next to actual profit, and says how unusual the gap is. A losing month on bets that were worth money is bad luck, not a broken edge; your closing line value tells you which.

August 6, 2026 — A failed renewal no longer locks you out

• Stripe flags a subscription past-due on the first declined renewal charge, then retries your card for about two weeks. Iron Marker used to cut access the moment that flag flipped — now you keep full Pro access through the retry window, with a banner linking to the billing portal so you can fix the card.
• Checkout won't sell you a second subscription if you already have one — a double-click or a stale tab used to be able to.

August 5, 2026 — Player props reach the board

• Player props (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL) now show up in scans and in Telegram alerts, with the player, stat and line spelled out — "LeBron James · Points Over 24.5" instead of a bare market key.
• The props on/off switch in Settings is wired end to end, and props no longer get filtered out by your mainline market picks.
• Telegram setup now tells you to tap Start on the alert bot first — Telegram blocks bots from messaging you until you do, which was silently killing alerts for new users.
• Props still settle by hand from the Settle button: the odds feed carries team scores, not player stat lines.

August 4, 2026 — Password reset

• Forgot your password? There's now a reset link on the sign-in screen and a recovery screen to set a new one.
• You can also change your password from the account menu without signing out.

July 25, 2026 — The Cost of Loyalty Index

• Published our first research piece: 21 days of odds archiving, 64 snapshots, 13,707 markets — what betting at a single book actually costs you versus shopping the board.

July 11, 2026 — Free tier

• You can now use Iron Marker without paying: a free account sees the top +EV bets from every scan, with the book names masked.
• Free accounts also get a weekly email digest of what the scanner found, with one-click unsubscribe.
• Pro unlocks the full board, every book, Telegram alerts, CLV and the Analysis tab.

July 4, 2026 — Stricter fair odds, and an odds ceiling

• Fair probability is now the worst case across de-vig methods rather than a single method, so marginal bets stop sneaking onto the board as +EV.
• New max-odds setting: cap how long a shot the scanner will show you, so a +900 lottery ticket never tops your list.

July 1, 2026 — Put the EV calculator on your own site

• The EV calculator is now an embeddable widget: grab the iframe snippet from /tools/embed/ and drop it into your own page.
• The free tools are linked from the homepage nav and a resources section, so you no longer have to know the URL to find them.

June 30, 2026 — Free tools, a glossary and sportsbook pages

• Seven free tools at /tools/, no account needed: EV, no-vig, Kelly, hold, parlay and arbitrage calculators plus an odds converter.
• Three more guides — line shopping, arbitrage betting and de-vigging methods — plus a betting glossary.

June 29, 2026 — Telegram alerts

• Telegram alerts are live: get pinged the moment a bet clears your EV and Kelly thresholds instead of watching the board. Set it up in Settings.

June 21, 2026 — Guides, and tracking polish

• Four plain-English guides to the maths the scanner runs on: positive EV, no-vig fair odds, closing line value and the Kelly criterion.
• The bet calendar shows P&L and your win-loss record for the month you're looking at.
• Pending bets reconcile when the app loads and from any tab, not just the Pending tab.
• Prop bets carry their stat type everywhere — "Strikeouts Under 3.5", not just "Under 3.5".

June 17, 2026 — Duplicate-pick warnings across books

• If a bet you're about to track is the same pick you already have at a different book, you get warned. Previously the check only caught duplicates at the same book, so you could quietly double your exposure on one side.

June 16, 2026 — Pick your own books

• Choose exactly which sportsbooks the scanner watches, and the scan only spends credits on those.
• Offshore and exchange books are now in the mix, tagged on every row so you always know what you're looking at.
• Settings filters and the book list are grouped and collapsible instead of one long wall.
• A running count of +EV bets found today.

June 15, 2026 — Closing line value

• Every tracked bet now gets Pinnacle's closing line captured automatically, and the Analysis tab reports your average CLV and beat-the-close rate — the honest read on whether you have an edge.
